Mike’s Dauin Beach Resort
Negros Island, Dumaguete
Mike’s Dauin Beach Resort is situated right on the beach in the lovely village of Dauin, just 20 minutes south of Dumaguete on Negros Island. Our twelve rooms are only meters from the beach, as is our Scuba Dive Center and lagoon pool complete with waterfall. Our aim is to provide you with the highest quality holiday and scuba diving experience and our comfortable size means we can provide you with a relaxed and intimate resort atmosphere.
Most guests board our custom built Banca boats to scuba dive or snorkel the stunning paradise of Apo Island only a short ride away. This premier scuba diving center is one of the oldest and best managed marine sanctuaries in the Philippines. Expect large shoals of fish, many sea turtles and spectacularly colourful coral gardens. Closer still are the dives at Dauin, rapidly gaining recognition as one of the best macro-photography sites in the Philippines with the chance of meeting Frogfish, Seahorses, Flamboyant Cuttlefish and the famous Blue-ringed Octopus.
Accommodation
Our Room
Our hotel has 14 modern, light and spacious rooms designed to make your stay with us as comfortable and convenient as possible. All rooms have air conditioning, private bathrooms with hot water shower, sea or garden views and private outdoor seating areas. We are confident your visit will be relaxed and refreshing, whether you are here for a short break or a longer stay.
Villa
Set quietly within the grounds of the Resort, our Two-Bedroom Villa blends Filipino design with modern comfort, and caters for larger groups that wish to combine the options of a self-catering experience with the convenience of all the Resort’s amenities close by. The Villa caters for groups of 4 to 6 people, and beds can be flexibly arranged between the two bedrooms for your convenience.
Diving
Scuba Diving around the Dauin area offers a diverse range of underwater environments where you will encounter superb coral reefs, an amazing array of macro critters, large schools of tropical & pelagic fish and some very chilled out turtles. Join us on one of our spacious banca boats for daily scuba diving and snorkeling activities.
Our boats leave from the beach in front of the Resort each morning after a hearty breakfast. If you are diving in Dauin, you will come back for lunch, then in the afternoon you can relax by the pool or go out for another lazy afternoon dive, or maybe even a night dive to encounter other nocturnal hunters. If you are on one of our day-long trips to Apo, a delicious hot lunch will be served on board (most dietary requirements also catered for).
